Such a strange name for this advertisement - trailer – is explained by the fact that initially previews were shown in cinemas at the end of the movie. In such a way you spend just a couple of minutes on watching a film preview and you can judge if the video film is to your taste or not. I'm sure you agree that it is much better to spend a minute or two on a movie trailer than to waste two hours on watching the movie you don't find exciting.
